Right now he's small enough to hold in both my hands.

Sixteen years from now, I hope he's not too much a man to still let me hold him.

Right now I can't help but poke at his wonderfully small nose.

Sixteen years from now, I hope it doesn't look like mine.

Right now he looks at me with wide-eyed wonder as I tell him stories of
monsters, mutants, and aliens.

Sixteen years from now, I hope he'll understand what his parents went through
before he was born.

Right now I flip between the Knick's and Yankee's game with him on my lap,
wowing him with my unending knowledge of statistics.

Sixteen years from now, he'll wonder where my unending knowledge went.

Right now his hand grasps against my finger.

I wonder if in sixteen years he'll be beating the crap out of me in basketball
or asking why I can't seem to hit a homerun anymore.

Right now he gives me the goofiest, most adorable grin.

I know sixteen years from now, girls will be all over that smile.

Right now I look into his innocent eyes.

I hate to think that sixteen years from now, he'll be corrupted by this violent,
unforgiving world.

Right now he looks at me with complete trust in my ability of being a father.

Sixteen years from now, I hope he doesn't have the same view of me as I did of
my father then.

Right now I marvel at his smallness and wonder what he'll be like when he's
older.

Sixteen years from now, I'll marvel at how much he's grown and wonder where the
years went.

Right now, I love him more than anything, a love so utterly powerful, words
could never do it justice.

Sixteen years from now, I'll love him the same.
